I am not relying on the current infromation from drobo dashboard - since it can;t see my units most of the time anyway. I have two different network If your Drobo is on another subnet, it will never see this broadcast packet, so it will never respond to the Dashboard.

I have two firewire drobo units connected to my mac mini server - lion I want to encourage continue your great work, have a nice weekend!

I just found this too. It even seems to remember the remote drobo, after stopping the pipe and restarting the dashboard I can still access both. Reply Helpful Thread reply - more options Link to this Post.

Posted on Feb 2, 7: One or the other drobo drive will disappear for no reason, strangely the second unit which is in serial to the first remains avail to the mini so the first one is there and acting as a firewall hub. Just bit me too.
